This campaign was developed by the ASMBS General Surgery and Foregut committee in close collaboration with the Public Education committee and is aimed at raising awareness among patients suffering from obesity and obesity-related health conditions. The campaign is also an attempt to reach our patients directly to explain that some of the common health conditions like sleep apnea, GERD, diabetes, and others are related to the disease obesity and that only by addressing obesity can one really address those obesity-related health conditions.
