Born in Monterrey NL, Dr. Arana-Garza holds a Medical degree from the University of Monterrey (UdeM). He specialized in General Surgery at the Christus Muguerza Alta Especialidad Hospital and later in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at the same institution. He has over 12 years experience in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. He has been Certified from the Mexican Council of General Surgery, and the Mexican College of Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Diseases; besides being an active member of the most prestigious and respectable national and international associations.
