As a general surgeon, I recognize that the prospect of undergoing a surgical procedure is a highly stressful experience for anyone. I am honored to help patients though this period and I strive to provide compassionate care coupled with sound judgment and preeminent technical skill with a focus on minimally invasive surgery. Towards these goals, after completing my residency training in general surgery at the University of Wisconsin, I went on to additional fellowship training in advanced minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery and bariatric surgery. My areas of interest are surgical weight-loss, hernia and acid reflux surgery. I am particularly passionate about weight-loss surgery as a pro-active means for those suffering from morbid obesity to dramatically improve their well-being and potentially cure or prevent diseases associated with their weight.
