James Mcginty, MD FACS

James McGinty, MD, is Chief of Surgery and Surgical Services at Englewood Health and Associate Professor of Surgery at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Dr. McGinty is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in laparoscopic and robotic bariatric surgery, performing the full array of weight-loss procedures including revisional and gastric bypass surgeries. Dr. McGinty also performs advanced laparoscopic general surgery including foregut procedures and hernias. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles that have appeared in multiple peer-reviewed publications, and has authored several book chapters. Dr. McGinty has lectured extensively on weight-loss and minimally invasive surgery both nationally and internationally. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, and a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
