Gary Aghazarian, DO

My college education in the study of human exercise science (Kinesiology) at the Pennsylvania State University helped to develop my interest in the importance of nutrition/diet and exercise in the fight against obesity. Additional training through general surgery residency and minimally invasive bariatric (weight loss) surgery fellowship allowed me to develop the surgical skills necessary to help people further combat this disease.

I specialize in laparoscopic robotic assisted bariatric procedures including the vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG), Roux-en-y gastric bypass (RYGB), duodenal switch (DS), and revisional bariatric surgery (such as gastric band removal and conversions). Furthermore, I treat people with general surgery conditions with a focus on minimally invasive approaches.

During my free time I enjoy traveling with my wife, walking our two beagles, playing pickle ball, relaxing on the beach, reading, biking, skiing, hiking, and watching sports (Go Ravens!!!).
