Edward Lin, DO

Dr. Lin has been the Director of Emory Bariatric Center since 2006. He is the Chief of Gastrointestinal & General Surgery and Professor at Emory University. He has unique expertise in diseases of the esophagus and stomach. He has led Emory Healthcare through its multiple accreditation processes as a Centers of Excellence. His center serves as the referral site for complex surgeries. Dr. Lin has been instrumental in the understanding of diabetes resolution following weight loss surgery. Dr. Lin is Editor-in-Chief of Bariatric Surgical Practice and Patient Care, and Associate Editor of SOARD, and on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Advanced Laparoscopic and Surgical Techniques, Bariatric Times.

He has been an invited speaker and performed surgery in the Middle East, Asia, and South America.
