David Voellinger, MD DBOM

Dr. Voellinger has been practicing since 2002 and has completed thousands of bariatric surgeries. He is double-boarded in General Surgery and Bariatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at University of Alabama Birmingham and his fellowship at Mt Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is currently lead physician for Novant Health Bariatric Solutions Charlotte, the Medical Director for the Novant Health Bariatric Center and former Chief of Staff at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. His program at Novant Health has been a Bariatric Center of Excellence since 2007. Dr. Voellinger specializes exclusively in minimally invasive bariatric surgeries, including vertical sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, adjustable gastric banding, incisionless/endoscopic surgery and revisional bariatric surgery.
